Whenever we're exploring a national park, there's always one great restaurant in the area that we find ... and Mondo is it! Food is super delicious, and there's something for everyone. They have both Asian and American options, and they definitely deliver on their Asian cuisine. Start with the gyoza and then grab the bulgogi plate - very generous portions filled with great flavor. Plenty of drink options. Large menu. Lots of available tables. Great staff. Absolutely a great stop for lunch or dinner after a day spent in the national park.
Yes! I'm so tired from the day of whitewater rafting. I don't have energy to write this review. But the Western Burger with the Onion Rings in it? That hit the spot. Now the burger is rafting down into my belly. Good. Enjoy!
Pricey but also it's one of the very few options right at the mouth of north cascades national park. I thought the bimbimbap was delish- 25 dollars- comes with onions and rice. The tenders were on the oilier side- would avoid.
Last week, we stumbled upon a fantastic fusion (Korean + American) restaurant on our way back from Lake Diablo, and it was a delightful find. I had the black bean burger, and my boyfriend tried the elk burger; both were really good. The black bean burger was flavorful and satisfying, while the elk burger offered a unique and tasty twist. It's not often you find such a great place to eat three hours from Seattle, making this discovery even more special. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff was friendly, making it a perfect stop on our journey. Highly recommend checking it out if you're in the area!
If you find yourself hungry for some Korean-fusion up in the mountains of North Cascades and don't want to travel back to a big city, Mondo is conveniently right by the entrance of the national park. Pretty standard fare bulgogi, but good prices, good service, and large portions. Pretty good beer options. Poor cell reception, though. So if you want to stick around and use your phone, you might not have any luck.
